At the Zoo-written story

Dedicated to Billy Pilgrim and Montana Wildhack…
What’s on my mind, asks FB? Well here’s my story…
After my capture long ago, I just returned to Zoxtoor from a 10-year stint living in a zoo on another planet, Citapramulus. I was a male specimen in the “Planet Earth Exhibition”, along with lobsters, porcupines, women, sloths, sea horses, and a few bigfoots from the Pacific Northwest, etc…
I was abducted by a race that loves to collect and exhibit creatures from all over our galaxy, and I can tell you there are other life forms relatively close to us on Earth. I now actually work for the aliens scouting potential exhibits for their next exposition in July. In return, I’ve been promised pleasure, not pain. They’ve mastered space and time travel.
Back on Zoxtoor, where I am now, I have a wife (from another earth-like planet), and she rarely speaks, if ever, and wants sex constantly. She does have lovely purple skin, and I’ve grown accustomed to it and also grown accustomed to the endless alien’s question: Why do I lack any actual skin color?! Nagging is considered insulting in Zoxtoor, so no one ever does it…
Some day we hope to visit her home planet to gather a few specimens.
Believe it or not, the Zoxtoorians park their spaceships right in front of Earthly cinemas, salons, Red Squares, Maine vacation homes, roundabouts, A&W drive-in restaurants, hospitals, psych wards, baseball teams, Walmarts, etc. to scout for possible exhibits (humans). They have a cloaking device, just like in star trek, so there is never any panic. Believe it or not, we try to collect real normal humans, non-believers in ETs, because they make the best facial expression as attractions in the exhibits.
Coming next winter is another Expo in the Zoo about the Galaxy cross-breeding program. Humans are involved also. My children have a light violet skin tone and complimentary electro-green eyes. They can communicate by ESP and are therefore extremely quiet. Bonus!
They may be on display but enjoy a “free to go” status.
I do long for the tranquility and brotherly love of the earth.
